A long time coming, new post.

I have an exhibition up at the Northern Clay Center until the end of February and will be having another show in May at the Grand Hand Gallery in St.Paul, MN.  Here are some links below, all the work is my new cone 2-4 red earthenware soda fired work. I have been fortunate to have received two grants last year to develop this surface and hope to continue developing it further. Hope you enjoy and if you are in the area check out the shows!

Anagama Firing

Just got done with a firing at Simon Levin’s.  We fired his Anagama and here is some photos.  My best work is going to a show at the signature shop (thesignatureshop.com) and an exhibition at Bemidji State.  Here is some photos:

Started up the kiln

I loaded the front chamber of the noborigama today and lit the kiln at 6 this evening.  We will fire the kiln for about 5 days or so and then hopefully unload 5 days later and I will try and post some pics and results.  If the firing is successful I would like to have a kiln opening sale.

Hi Everyone

Hello,
Through the genius of Cory Schultz, we have teamed up to make this website and blog. I have also began setting up an etsy store as well, it is on vacation right now until i build up some images of work and make sure it functions. I will be using this home page to keep people updated on what I am doing and the gallery to show the work I am making.
I am currently an artist in residence at the Cub Creek Foundation in Virginia, I make functional wood fire pottery.
We are currently get ready to load up the three chamber wood kiln in two weeks, exciting stuff. Please comment and communicate thoughts, this blog will improve through participation.
